SKINCARE HAUL! ~TJ Maxx, Korean skincare, Sephora, Amazon
Hello everyone!
It feels like it's be quite some time since we last spoke. I recently started my last semester at college so I might not be able to update for a while. I am going to try my hardest no matter what though!
I might try to do videos instead so that it is easier and quicker for me to get my ideas and everything across!
If I do start a youtube, I will let everyone know and link it in a blogpost!
So, let us begin!
Yesterday I went on a little shopping spree. I mainly purchased some skincare because my skin has been acting up more than usual. Some of this stuff I needed and then some of it I wanted!

So, let us begin!
Yesterday I went on a little shopping spree. I mainly purchased some skincare because my skin has been acting up more than usual. Some of this stuff I needed and then some of it I wanted!
Masks
- Sephora Green Tea Sleeping Mask : I love sleeping masks and this one is supposed to soothe blemishes and reduce the appearance of them. It's also supposed to absorb excess sebum and purify the skin. I'm super excited to try this!
- Kina Cosmetics: Anti-Pollution Face Masks : I was so excited when I found this at TJ Maxx's. This is a 10 pack of sheet masks for only $5.99. I used one of these last night and they're a lot thinner than face masks that I've tried before. I wore it for about 30 or 40 minutes and the serum absorbed nicely. It made my face feel nice and soft. It's supposed to soothe and prevent wrinkles.
- Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Mud Mask : Okay, this is my ultimate favorite mask. I re-purchased this mask and will continue to use it until I find something better. This mask is a cleansing mask and it supposed to detox the skin. After using it, my blemishes are smaller and after a few uses, my blemishes disappear and I see fewer returning. My only issue with this mask is that it sometimes burns if an area is "raw" or dry. If you have really sensitive skin, I wouldn't use this mask. I generally have sensitive skin and I've learned to only use this mask if I haven't exfoliated in a while. Otherwise, I totally recommend it.
- Skinfood Egg White Pore Mask : I love skinfood and this mask is great. I haven't used it as frequently as I would like to because I have been having a bad acne breakout. This mask is really good for tightening pores though and I like using it after I've exfoliated. It makes my skin feel really tight and smooth. If you can't use the Formula 10.0.6 mask, I would recommend using this one instead. It doesn't dry out my skin at all and I have noticed my pores, especially on my cheeks and chin, shrink.
Creams
- Formula 10.0.6 P.M. Perfector : I really needed a night cream because the lotion I was using didn't feel like it was moisturizing my skin enough. Since I really liked this brand's masks, I decided to try their other skincare products. I really like the watery consistency that this cream has. I have used water-like night creams before and they always seem to do the best with my skin. A little of this stuff goes a long way too so I also apply it on my neck. Although it has that water-like consistency, it almost dries matte on my face. So far though, I really like it.
- Pond's Correcting Cream : I actually got this cream in my stocking for Christmas. I usually use this in the morning. This cream also goes a long way and its a little thicker than the P.M Perfector. It's supposed to even out dark spots which I really need since my skin has some uneven patches due to acne. The serum I've been using has also helped with that and you can read about it in my last skincare post!
- Era Organics' Eye Cream : Eye cream is something that I didn't really start using until I was an adult and even then, I didn't know what to buy. I decided to buy this cream because it was a really good size and it's organic and natural. The eye cream is a little on the oily side so I would only recommend if you have dry skin like me. A little goes a long way. I use this on my eyelid and under my eyes as well. The label says that you can also apply this onto your neck and hands. So far, it's really moisturizing and I love it a lot!
Mists and Strips
- Clio Micro Fine Collagen Mist : To be honest, I am a sucker for mists and I'm not sure if they really do anything. I have been using the Mario Badescu facial spray for a while now and all I've noticed is that it adds some extra moisture. I purchased this spray because it's more of a mist and is supposed to provide deep moisture. So far, I've used it once after I used the sheet mask and it really sealed in the moisture provided from the mask. I really like it and I will continue to use it and see what it does for me!
- Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips : I bought this combo on Amazon because I noticed I had too many blackheads on my nose and on my cheeks. I've seen a lot of good reviews about these and they do work. You have to make sure your face is exfoliated and damp though. At least, that's how it's been working for me. The price is kind of diverting though and I'm not sure if I would buy again. I probably would if I was really having a blackhead issue.
- Precision Beauty Deep Cleansing Pore Strips : Okay, yes, I bought two pore strip packs. But!!! I only bought this pack because I was running out of the Biore ones and I wanted to try a different brand. These were only $3.99 at TJ Maxx which is a lot cheaper than the Biore ones. I tried one last night and wow! These honestly work just as well as the Biore ones for a much cheaper price. I will honestly be buying these over the Biore ones!
Cleansers
- Innisfree Apple Seed Cleansing Oil : I think I've been using this cleansing oil for probably almost a year and I'm really happy with it. It smells really good and takes off all of my makeup. I never used a cleansing oil before and I'm regretting that I've just now started to. Cleansing oils are really nice because they basically melt all the makeup off your face so that it's easier to take off. I double cleanse no matter what so using an oil first just makes it easier. I will use the oil and gently rub it all of my face and on my eyes and then wash it off. I then use whichever cleanser after that! This cleansing oil has honestly saved my skin. I would highly recommend purchasing this one.
- Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser : As you can see, I'm kinda purchasing all that is charcoal and pore related! I really get obsessed whenever my acne returns in patches and it makes me feel really self-conscious. I recently purchased this cleanser and it has helped A LOT! It has really helped clear out the small bumps on my forehead and cheeks/jawline. It has helped decrease the size of my pores as well as the size of my blemishes. This, alongside some of the new and old skincare products that I use, has really helped clear up my skin. I highly recommend this product as well.
- The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Foam Cleanser : I use this cleanser whenever I'm not wearing makeup or when I'm having a good skin day. This cleanser is really gentle and leaves my skin feeling nice and tightened as well as soft! I really recommend if you don't have troubled skin or want a really gentle cleaner. This also came with a cleansing oil but I am trying to finish up my Innisfree one first!
Makeup
- Smashbox Photo finish Primerizer : I have been going without primer for a while and have been hating it! I really wanted to buy a primer but because I have dry skin, I didn't want to get one that would make my skin even dryer than it is. I tried the regular photo finish primer and I liked it. I went into Sephora and saw that this one was basically the same thing but meant for dry skin! I was so happy that I decided to give it a try. I purchased the "travel size" just in case it doesn't end up working for me. When you first apply it, it has a water-like consistency but absorbs quickly. I'm really excited to try this out under makeup!
- Sephora Lip Stories : Okay, I didn't really need this but the shade is so pretty! This shade is Hong Kong by Night and is a red, sparkly color. I'm going to try this out this week and if you follow me on Instagram, you'll get to see it on!
Thank you everyone for reading! I am going to try to make some videos soon! I am starting to get busy with school but I am still going to try and make an effort to put out some videos as well as blog posts. I think I might make a video version of this blog post so that you can see these products in action!
