KOREAN INSPIRED SKIN CARE ROUTINE! (Acne-Prone SKIN)

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog! As you can probably tell, I changed my blogger URL. I decided to make it less specific and more simple!
Today I have a post about the skin care items that I use! As some of you may know, I suffer from acne-prone skin. I have used a lot of products and so far, I am really liking these.
This is my day-to-day skin care routine, excluding my face washes, scrubs and face masks. (If you would like a more in-depth routine, I can make a video about it!)

So, let's get started!

After washing my face, I apply Thayers Witch Hazel toner. If you have read my back acne post, you will recognize this product and how much I love it! I 100% recommend this product to anyone looking for a toner. It's super gentle and smells amazing. This toner has honestly helped get rid of a lot of my acne and help heal my acne scars. It leaves my skin feels so smooth in the morning as well.  Even if you do not have acne prone skin or acne at all, you should still give this a try.

Next! I recently bought this serum from TJ Maxx. I was on the hunt for a vitamin C serum to help brighten and even out my skin. This serum is from Valjean Labs and is a vitamin C and Magnesium serum. The consistency is very watery and absorbs relatively fast. I've only used this serum for less than a week but I can already seeen that my skin is softer and a little brighter. I will keep using this and let everyone know if I decide to keep this in my skin care routine. For now, I really enjoy this serum.

I recieved this Caudalie Radiance Serum as a birthday gift from Sephora and I absolutely love it. It's a little thicker than the Valjean Labs serum but they both make my skin glow. I wanted to buy a larger bottle of this but it retails for $79.00 for only 1 oz. It really makes my skin soft and moisturized. Both serums, in my opinion, are good and moisturizing but the Valjean Labs serum is a lot cheaper.

If you haven't seen this facial spray before then you must not go online often. The Mario Badscu facial spray is something I started using just recently. As the season began to change from Summer to Fall, my face was incredibly dry. I would use this spray under and over my makeup to add some extra moisture to my face. I honestly haven't noticed much difference in my skin other than it really refreshes my skin and adds that extra moisture that I might need. I don't use this every single day, just on days that I feel more dry.

(Sorry for the bad photo of this one.) I recently bought this moisturizer because of the weather change and how dry my skin was getting. This Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin moisturizer is so thick and creamy and really leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. This moisturizer has a ton of vitamins in it such as vitamins B, C and E. It also claims to not clog pores which is perfect for someone suffering with acne-prone skin. My skin hasn't been dry since I started using this every morning and night. I absolutely love the smell and a little of this goes a long way. I highly recommend this for someone with dry, acne-prone skin. If you're a little worried about it being too moisturizing and making you feel greasy, I would suggest using a small amount since a little does go a long way.

Yes! I use two different moisturizers during the day! This is the Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 50+. I purchased this during the summer months because I needed a moisturizer with sunscreen in it. I love this product because just like the Neutrogena moisturizer, a little goes a long way. There's not really a scent with this product other than the smell of sunscreen which I don't really mind at all. My only problem with this moisturizer is that it made my skin burn. I believe it was because my skin was so very dry when I used it that, it caused my skin to burn. My skin only started to burn when it got colder outside and my skin began to get dry. After I started applying my Neutrogena Naturals first and then the Cetaphil moisturizer, my skin did not burn anymore.
The product does take a while to rub and absorb into the skin. If you don't wait for it to absorb, it does leave a kind of white look wherever you applied it. I'm not so sure as to if this is good for acne-prone skin but sunscreen is very important and I would recommend finding a sunscreen that best suits your skin's needs.

I also use two moisturizers for the night time! This is the Skinfood Sweet Pumpkin Soup Sleeping Pack. I purchased this a few weeks before I left Korea and has lasted me almost an entire year. Sleeping packs are super nice because they're very thick so your skin stays nice and moisturized throughout the entire night and morning. I really enjoy using this sleep pack and I am thinking about ordering this exact same one once I run out. It is super thick so it makes my face feel really moisturized and soft. When I wake up the next morning, my face does look more radiant and healthy. I also apply this on my neck. This pack also comes in tomato and avocado. I really recommend this for the colder months. It's really been a life saver.

Aloe Vera is supposed to be a holy grail of fixing acne related skin problems. This gel is from Nature Republic. Aloe Vera helps redness go away and helps heal acne scars. It also helps with irritation. When I heard that Aloe Vera helped do all of this, I immediately bought this aloe vera gel. I use this during the night before I put any moisturizer on and let it sink into my skin for a few minutes. Using this gel is especially useful after exfoliating since your skin can become red and irritated from it. I have seen an improvement in the redness and scarring in my skin after using the this aloe vera gel every night. I used to have such bad cystic acne and this would help soothe my face. I really enjoy the smell as well; it smells super fresh. The product also applies smoothly and absorbs really well. Once again, I highly recommend to anyone with acne or acne-prone skin.

Last but not least, eye cream!! I know that I am fairly young to be worried about using eye cream but I believe you can start whenever in preventing wrinkles. I have to be honest, I do not know if this eye cream is helping in preventing wrinkles as much as it's just hydrating the skin around my eyes. I purchased this eye cream because it was on sale in Ulta and I really wanted an eye cream. I do not know a ton about eye creams so I went ahead and bought it! So far, it has just been super moisturizing to the skin around my eyes. I don't really have wrinkles around my eyes except for crow's feet when I smile. With that being said, I still enjoy using this stuff because it does help keep the skin around my eyes nice and soft! I have nothing to complain about!

If you've made it this far, thank you! I hope you enjoyed reading about the products that I use on a daily basis! Like I said before, if you would like to see a full skin care routine with face washes, scrubs and masks then let me know! I would be more than happy to make a video on it! Again, thank you so much for reading and if you have any questions, let me know!
